Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild Garden

The Rothschild garden was created by Beatrice Rothschild after divorcing her philandering husband. Some say that she threw herself into the creation of the garden in 1905 as a celebration after surviving 19 years of a bad marriage. Who knows if that was her motivation but she fell in love with the property on Cap Ferrat to the south of Nice. She died in 1934 and left this wonderful garden that is now managed by the Academie des Beaux Arts for the public to enjoy.
